Child-Friendly Educational Resource for Therapy Settings
Helping children understand their bodies — so therapy conversations can continue at home.
My Gut Friends™ is a child-focused educational resource designed to support therapists working with young children and their families.
Using simple language, relatable characters, and visual storytelling, the My Gut Friends™ book series helps children understand what’s happening in their tummy. This shared understanding can support parent follow-through around food, routines, and daily habits — without adding educational burden to families.
Many therapists include My Gut Friends™ within early sessions or intake, using it as a visual explanation tool and practical take-home resource that complements professional guidance.
These resources are suitable for use by:
· Dietitians & Nutritionists
· Occupational Therapists
· Speech Pathologists
· Psychologists
· Allied health professionals working with children aged 3–8
My Gut Friends™ was developed in collaboration with a qualified, registered, practising dietitian and informed by parent education experience in child nutrition and behaviour support.
The resources are designed as educational support tools to complement therapy conversations — not to replace clinical guidance.
We continue to gather practitioner feedback to refine its integration into therapy settings.
